L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed Powder

Hey everyone, it's been awhile. My first exam is next week Tuesday and I'm starting to feel the stress of things, and with how things are going I think that I will only really be posting once a week for the moment. I think I'll even have them pre-written and schedule for particular days. So, I'm going to make myself scarce from the internet as everything is cracking down. On with the post:

Right here I have a mineral pressed powder in the shade 'Ebony' from L.A. Colors. This is my first mineral pressed powder and I can't really say that it's any different from other pressed powders that I've used in the past, except that I find that this one is easier to apply. I loving using my RT Buffing Brush to apply this and all other pressed powders as I feel that it does a really good job of patting on the powder, but you'd really have to use a light hand with this if it's light coverage that you're looking for.

I love the case of this. The powder pan can be flipped over to reveal a mirror and an applicator sponge - as demonstrated the last picture above - and the case is nice and transparent all around. The mirror is nice and clear, just the right size and makes using this product on the go so much easier.

Overall it's safe to conclude that I really like this product and would definitely repurchase it once its all gone.

Bye everyone and I'll talk to you in my next post!

Home Office [Under Construction]

I decided to take on the challenge of creating my own mini home office. I know that it's going to take a lot of effort to start from scratch, but I feel that my blogging can really benefit from some extreme organisation - big time. And as I go along with this journey I want to keep you guys updated and get some tips from you as well.

I got a whole lot of inspiration on Pinterest today, so much so that I went on a bit of a pinning spree and I think that I have somewhat of an idea - however vague - of what I want the end product to look like. It's essentially going to be in my room in a corner really, but I want it to look like it was professionally put together and a place where I can just get lost in blogging.

I think it'll be a fun process organising and decorating my own little area.

These are my favourite pictures for inspiration so far:

But I'm still in the planning process. I'll definitely keep you guys posted on any updates.

Bye everyone, I'll talk to you guys in the next post.

The 13 Year Old With Her Own Clothing Line

The 13 Year Old With Her Own Clothing Line

The 13 Year Old With Her Own Clothing Line by vanityroseofficial featuring dresses

A short post today, but I just thought that you all should hear this.

Today this post goes out to someone that I think is truly inspirational: Isabella Rose Taylor. Isabella has her own clothing line, Nordstrom will be hosting her line in September and all this is happening while she is only 13 years old. Yep I said it, she’s thirteen.

Her brand is called Isabella Rose Taylor and you can check out her store (here).
I have to say when I found out about her – today – I was really shocked that she’s achieved all of this at such an early age. Did I mention she’s a freshman in college?

You can hear more about her breaking into the world of fashion and through the doors of Nordstrom (here) (here) and find her on Twitter (here).

Bye everyone, I hope that this has been a somewhat refreshing post.

Life Update | Final Exams and the Easter Weekend

Hey everyone!

It really has been a week since my last post, hasn't it? Sorry about that. My final exams are coming up and I really need to put in time to study. I'm not giving up blogging but my posting just wont be as frequent - especially when the exams get started (May to mid-June). But I really want to get good grades, so even though I really enjoy blogging and sharing with you guys, I can't have it at the fore front of my mind at the moment. These grades are going to follow me when I leave school and are going to make an impact when I apply for university/ a job, so I really need to make this count.

I hope that you all can understand that.

With that said, I can't wait for exams to be over and for summer vacation to come! I haven't had a single vacation since last summer. Let me explain why; since this is my last year in high school, school has gone into high gear and teachers have been having classes on weekends and during Christmas vacation and during this spring break as well. I hardly consider Saturday part of the weekend any more, all I have is Sunday.

And recently I've been studying for my Spanish Oral exam which on this coming Tuesday.

But we'll see how things go and I'll tell you guys my results if you want!

Anyway though, it's the Easter weekend. How's it been going for you guys so far?

I went off to the beach today with family, it's so sunny and windy here right now. Perfect weather for kite flying!

So bye for now, this was a post that I've been meaning to right for a while and this was a great time to do it. I hope you guys have enjoyed your day, and I hope that you all enjoy the weekend.

Chao!

The Resemblance is Uncanny

The Resemblance is Uncanny

The Resemblance is Uncanny by vanityroseofficial

Makeup Revolution is a new cosmetics brand in the UK and since its launch; the eye palettes that have really caught people’s attention are the iconic palettes that are the perfect dupes of the Urban Decay Naked palettes.

It’s not hard to see the solid resemblance between them but there is one distinct difference between them; while the Naked palettes can go for about £37, the iconic palettes go for a staggering £4, and they have just about the same quality in pigmentation and staying power.

If you live in the UK and you've wanted to get your hands on all or any of the Naked palettes, but couldn't because of the steep price, then I’d recommend that you look into these dupe palettes.

Here’s a post comparing swatches from the Naked 3 palette and the Iconic 3 palette.

The links to each Iconic palette is down below:

Would you buy any of the iconic palettes?

Bye everyone and I’ll talk to you in the next post!

Blogger Wishlist

I thought I’d do a blogger wish list post as there are definitely some blog enhancing tools that I’ve been wanting for a while now. Check it out:

Blogger Wishlist

Blogger Wishlist by vanityroseofficial featuring a wall light

1.       A Camera
What’s a beauty/fashion blog without pictures, right?
I’m particularly interested in the Canon Rebel t5i as I’ve read a lot of positive reviews about it and I’ve seen the quality of pictures that it can produce. I can have this, and then leave my smaller camera for when I’m pressed for time and space when I’m heading out.

2.       iPad
This would make blogging on the go so much easier, I wouldn’t have to lug around my laptop and its bulky case – Lord knows it’s heavy. So this would be really convenient.

3.       Laptop
Although I do have a laptop, I’ve had it for a bit over two years now and it’s been through a lot since I’ve gotten it – falls and viruses to be exact – and I’m just so glad that it’s still with me right now; but with it crashing once or twice a week now, I think the end is near.

4.       Camera Bag
What’s a better way to cart around your camera than in style? I really like this camera case from JCPenney. It’s simple and chic and the light pink colouring just adds to my love for it; it could be paired with so many outfits.

5.       A Notebook
Any corky notebook would do, and it would be best if I started planning what my blog posts would be about at this point. Yes I really don’t plan these things. I absolutely suck at organising. Planning ahead would definitely help me to prioritize more with blogging.

6.       Pens
What better way to plan my next blog posts in my funky looking notebook than with some funky looking pens? The pens in the picture are perfect candidates for the job.

Let’s see just how fast I can accumulate the things on this wishlist. Maybe by this time next year I’d of already gotten them.

Are you a fellow blogger?

What are some things that are on your wishlist?

Bye everyone and I’ll talk to you in the next post!

P.S - The links to these items is down below.

Royal Blue Wedges

I've been meaning to do this post for a bit now.

These are royal blue faux suede shoes from the brand 'Styluxe'.

I got them last weekend with the intention of making them late editions to my Spring wardrobe. They're really versatile, good for outfits meant for day - skinny jeans and muscle tees -  or night - cocktail dresses; and I'm just laying in wait for the opportunity to finally wear them.

But first, let's all take a moment to pray that I wont fall over in these things. :D

Short post today.
Bye everyone, I'll talk to you in the next post!
